A Parson Russell Terrier Beats The Big Dogs at the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge

When Debbie Beam entered her diminutive Parson Russell Terrier, Major, in the 30-Weave-Up-and-Back event at the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge this year, she had no idea that he'd be the only small canine competing against such large dogs as Labrador Retrievers, Border Collies, and Belgian Malinois.

Which is why Beam was beyond thrilled — as were the spectators — when Major beat out the big guys to take first place in an event traditionally dominated by large dogs. We caught up with the duo post-win to talk about how Major went from companion dog to weave-pole champ.
