Arctic Wolf Pups Come Out of Their Cave

A month after the birth of a brood of arctic wolf cubs in May, staff at the Knutenborg Safaripark in Denmark finally got to see the cubs emerge from their den, reports Zooborns.

It was definitely worth the wait. At first, zoo officials only saw three little gray heads peeking out of their cave opening, but after a few days they counted five!

“We are really happy,” says Animal and Dissemination Manager Lisbeth Hoegh. “Unusually large broods indicate a wolf-mother who works well in her role."
