Bear Cubs Get Stuck in Tree

For days, a homeowner in Wisconsin could hear loud cries coming from a tree and could see two snouts sticking out the bottom of it. She called the state’s Department of Natural Resources, who discovered two bear cubs trapped inside. Officials think they climbed into a hole in the tree, then debris from a dead part of the tree fell down, sealing off the hole so they couldn’t get out. After determining their mom was nowhere to be found, the local fire department cut two windows in the tree to allow the cubs to exit. A rehab specialist gave the dehydrated cubs some watermelon before they safely ran off into the woods.
