Five Tiny Otter Pups Arrive in North Carolina

A pile of five snuggly Asian small-clawed otters was born last month at the Greensboro Science Center. It’s the first litter of the species to be born at the North Carolina facility, reports Zooborns.

The furry babies will move into their exhibit early next year, but they’ll be spending the holidays behind the scenes with their mom and dad, Jelly and Mark Lee.

The couple moved to the center in the spring. The otters are native to swamps, rivers and tidal pools in Southeast Asia, and monogamous pairs like Jelly and Mark Lee mate for life.
