Jaguar Cubs Venture Outside Their Den at Zoo

Come on, mom, let’s play! This cuddly jaguar cub is with his mother, Nindiri, at the San Diego Zoo.

Nindiri brought her two cubs out of the den where they’ve been living in since their birth in late April. Venturing outdoors is a big step for the babies, as they have to get acclimated to new smells and sounds, says the zoo.

Eventually this little bundle of fur will weigh between 70 to 249 pounds and be a mighty force to be reckoned with, but for now, he's just happy to be romping around outside with his family.
