Kate Benjamin
Kate Benjamin is the founder and editor of Moderncat, a popular style blog on the latest trends in design for cats and cat lovers. Kate has a degree in interior design from Cornell University, so she has an eye for products, architecture and art that's more modern than crazy cat lady.
Kate also writes the blog Catio Showcase — featuring ideas for crafting safe and stylish cat enclosures — and Cattoo Design, a website that showcases cat-related tattoos. For cat folk who aren't ready to go the permanent ink route, Kate has a line of temporary, cat-themed tattoos.
In 2009, Kate launched Moderncat Studio, a line of modern cat products that includes handcrafted toys, beds and scratchers that are all carefully tested by Kate’s nine felines at their Phoenix, Ariz., home. Some of Kate's chic creations were recently featured in an annual design episode of CBS Sunday Morning.
Kate has been interviewed by The New York Times, USA Today, The Pet Elite and Animal Wise Radio about style and design trends for felines.
