The animal to follow on Twitter right now is an expressive little hedgehog named Marutaro, who will make your day — every day.
With the help of tiny paper masks placed strategically in front of his face, Marutaro morphs into an array of animals, pop culture characters and funny human faces. Here he is as a ferocious lion. Oh, and isn’t he the silliest looking mustached man? Wow, he looks just like Pikachu the Pokemon! It’s uncanny. Really, the sky’s the limit when it comes to Marutaro. With a chalkboard, his owner made him into a caterpillar. And look at him as a devil. Best use of an Etch-a-Sketch ever.
Oh, and we forgot to mention, he seems to be making a calendar. Every day he poses with the day’s date in a fun and creative way.
Marutaro’s handle is @hedgehogdays, and he’s really racking up the followers — more than 47,000! Most of the captions are in Japanese, but the photos speak for themselves.
