Meet the Pets of Team USA Olympians

Just as we root for our country's athletes in London, our Olympians also have furry family members cheering them on at home.

We took to Twitter to collect photos of famous Team USA competitors — Michael Phelps, McKayla Maroney, Ryan Lochte and more — hanging with their pets.

Check out our gallery of these four-legged Olympic fans.

Olympians and Their Beloved Pets

Ryan Lochte and Dog
Ryan Lochte

Swimming heartthrob Ryan Lochte cuddles with his canine, a Doberman Pinscher named Carter. How much would you give to be that dog right now?

Lochte has won 5 medals — two gold, two silver and one bronze — at the Olympics in London.

McKayla Maroney and Cat
McKayla Maroney

American gymnast McKayla Maroney loves to spend time with her human and feline siblings. We wonder if she'll let either of them wear her newly-minted gold medal. She told US Weekly, "I can't believe I'm an Olympic champion!"

Jonathan Horton and Dog

Gymnast Jonathan Horton hangs out with Boomer, his Great Dane-Labrador mix. Horton also owns a 7-year-old Pomeranian named Harley. The Team USA athlete told Today that he wished he could bring his dogs to the London Games. "I would love to have a dog running around, be the Village mascot,” he said.

Horton and the other American gymnasts placed fifth in the Men's Team competition on Monday.

Rebecca Soni and Dog

Swimmer Rebecca Soni watches a parade with her Chow mix, Kody. Soni won gold and shattered her own world record in the 200-meter breaststroke Thursday, making her the first woman in Olympic history to win back-to-back golds in that event.

Carmelo Anthony and Panda

OK, OK. This panda isn't actually basketball star Carmelo Anthony's pet, but we couldn't resist! 'Melo got to hold this adorable creature while in China for a Nike promotional tour. "PANDA-MONIUM," he joked when he tweeted the picture.

Anthony and the U.S. men's basketball team broke the single-game scoring record Thursday in a 156-73 blowout of Nigeria.

Michael Phelps and Dogs

Of course we didn't forget the most decorated Olympian of all time. "Happy to get sometime with the pups today before i leave!!" Michael Phelps tweeted before departing for London. The swimmer has a Bulldog named Herman and a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix named Stella.

Phelps has won two golds and two silvers in his five races so far in London. The swimming sensation still has two more events — one individual and one relay — before he takes time off to... dote on his doggie duo, perhaps?
