Felines Take Over Interactive Friskies Playhouse

Consider it a reality show — for kitties. Cat food company Friskies is hosting 10 cats for two weeks in a residence that sounds like a feline’s dream come true. It features a built-in aquarium, a touch-floor for playing games and plenty of places to climb. You can get in on it, too. On the company’s Facebook page, people can take turns playing with the cats by controlling three mechanical toys. — Read it at CNET

Baby Giraffe Born at Tampa Zoo

Dad Jafari and mom Cupid welcomed a female giraffe at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. The calf, who's already over 6 feet tall, is the second one to be born at the zoo in a month. The baby will join other animals within the park’s Serengeti Plain in about three months.

Wild Goat Chase in Australia

A goat dubbed Houdini gave police a run for their money in Melbourne, Australia. The lightning-fast animal eluded officials for hours as she ran through traffic. When Houdini was finally captured, authorities brought her to a local dog pound, where she’ll stay until they find her a new home. — Watch it at the Huffington Post
