Man Saves Dog After Fall From Drawbridge

A lucky dog in Miami had a guardian angel watching out for her. David Bernstein was stopped on an opening drawbridge when he saw a small white dog walking toward it. As the bridge lifted, the terrier mix tried to hold on to the grated surface while Bernstein ran after her, but he just missed her, and she fell five stories through the bridge’s opening. Bernstein searched for the dog for an hour that night and then returned the next morning to look for her again. He didn’t have any luck until he came back again that afternoon.

Finally, he and a bridge operator found the pup in one of the tunnels built beneath the bridge and brought her to a vet for help. Miraculously, she didn’t suffer serious injuries in the fall, and is now cleaned up and recovering. Bernstein is hoping she’ll be reunited with her owner. — Read it at the Huffington Post
