Puppy Rescued After Car Accident Needs a Home

Buster is a survivor. A Good Samaritan found the Dachshund mix suffering from injuries after being hit by a car in West Virginia and brought him to a Washington, D.C.-area clinic for help. She even paid his $15,000 in medical bills. The puppy was saved, but lost the use of his hind legs, so he gets around with the help of a wheelchair.

Now, the Washington Animal Rescue League is looking for a special owner to care for this special dog, who has no health problems aside from the paralysis, but does need assistance going to the bathroom due to his injury. “I think the right people will come along, see him, and fall in love — he’s got such a spirit with him that I think he’ll go to the right home,” said Mary Jarvis of the rescue league. — Watch it at WJLA

YouTube Inspired Purina iPad Games for Cats

With Nestle Purina releasing a cat app for Android tablets this week and preparing to unveil a seventh iPad game for cats later this year, USA Today’s tech columnist talked with some of the feline-friendly games’ creators. They said the idea for the series of games started when they saw a YouTube video of a cat playing with an iPad just after the device was released.
