Pygmy Marmoset Eats a Noodle... Very Slowly

It's official: Pygmy marmosets look absolutely adorable when they eat macaroni noodles. We're pretty sure it's going to take this little guy all day to enjoy his snack though.

You may be shocked by how tiny the marmoset looks in comparison to his noodle, but pygmy marmosets are the world's smallest true monkeys — bested in this category only by the pygmy mouse lemur, which is technically a primate but not a monkey. According to the National Zoo, adult pygmy marmosets grow to be about 5 inches long (with an 8-inch tail!) and weigh somewhere between 4 to 7 ounces.
