Soon, Humans Will Have Their Own Tails to Wag

Sometimes, trying to guess how someone is feeling based solely on their facial expressions just isn’t enough. Wouldn’t it be easier if we all had tails? Thankfully, the Japanese company Neurowear created a prototype of a brain-wave-controlled tail that takes all the guesswork out of interpreting another human’s mood. Similar to Neurowear’s other mood-sensing technology — mind-reading cat ears — the Shippo tail wags in sync with your mood, just like a dog! Feeling relaxed? Your artificial tail will sway soft and slow. If you’re concentrating, the tail will move faster. Plus, an app that comes with the tail can tag your feelings to maps and upload them to social media sites so everyone in the entire world will know how you're feeling. Just what you always wanted, right?

If you just can't wait to have a tail, you're in luck! According to tech site The Verge, the product could be available by the end of the year. While we can't be certain how much money you'll have to shell out to be the bright-eyed and bushy-tailed human you've always wanted to be, Neurowear's mind-reading cat ears sell for $99, so we imagine the cost would be similar.
