These Lion Cubs Are Anything But Cowardly

The four adorable lion cubs born on Nov. 8 at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, Wash., already have a favorite toy — their mom.

After spending the first three months of their lives hidden away in a maternity den with their mother, Adia, the cubs finally emerged from the den to explore their outdoor exhibit. Within minutes of their first outdoor appearance, the young cubs started jumping all over their patient mom.

“Adia couldn’t get two steps without a cub slipping under foot or jumping on her back,” zoo communications staff member Rebecca Whitman writes in the zoo’s blog.

The lion cubs are not yet on view to the public, but keep an eye on the Woodland Park Zoo’s website to find out when you can visit these playful quadruplets.
