If your pooch really puts the "animal" in "party animal," then today's his lucky day! Celebratory canines are observing National Dog Party Day today with events in Miami, San Diego and New York City. Vetstreet's own Arden Moore created the dedicated party day, which is now in its second year. The doggie get-togethers raise money for pet charities and provide social opportunities for canines and humans alike.
If you can't make it to one of the established parties, we've got some tips on how to organize your own soiree. Pick the guest list carefully, plan fun games like musical chairs and make sure all snacks are safe for dogs — just in case one of the party animals happens to get his paws on a tasty treat! For more tips and tricks, check out our guide to planning your own doggie shindig.
