We wouldn't dare challenge Keira Knightley for her screen time, but one audacious actor did just that.

Aleister, a 5-year-old terrier mix, is the canine star of Knightley's new film, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. The former shelter dog portrays the role of "Sorry," the scrappy companion of Steve Carell's character.

It seems the devious dog had an agenda when he charmed the star-studded cast: more time in front of the camera.

"He had an amazing ability to find the camera," Knightley told People. "Even if he wasn't meant to be in a shot, you'd suddenly find him. It'd be my close-up and suddenly the dog would be right there licking my face."

In the end, despite Aleister's diva tendencies, the cast raved about how much fun he was to have on set. Said Knightley: "He's a star, obviously."

And when Keira Knightley steps aside and declares that you're a star, you definitely had the best week in Hollywood.
