Feeding controlled levels of key nutrients may reduce the workload on the heart while meeting the nutritional needs of the animal. Because heart failure may compromise other internal organs such as the kidneys, gastrointestinal tract and liver, it is also important to provide a highly digestible, easily metabolized diet which the patient will readily consume.

Water sufficient for processing, ground yellow corn, liver, rice, beef, animal fat (preserved with BHA), egg product, guar gum, potassium chloride, gum arabic, L-Lysine monohydrochloride, calcium carbonate, defluorinated phosphate, choline chloride, taurine, iron oxide color, zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, manganese sulfate, niacin, folic acid, Vitamin E supplement, Vitamin B-12 supplement, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of Vitamin K activity), copper sulfate, calcium pantothenate, biotin, thiamine mononitrate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin supplement, Vitamin D-3 supplement, calcium iodate, sodium selenite.
