Purina Veterinary Diets® CV Cardiovascular™ Feline Formula
The role of dietary management in feline heart disease is to provide a proper balance of total nutrients while meeting the special dietary needs of the patient. Feeding controlled levels of key nutrients may reduce the workload on the heart while meeting the nutritional needs of the animal. Because heart failure may compromise other internal organs such as kidneys, gastrointestinal tract and liver, it is also important to provide a highly digestible, easily metabolized diet which the patient will readily consume.
Purina Veterinary Diets ® CV Cardiovascular™ feline formula provides complete and balanced nutrition for adult maintenance and has been formulated to achieve the following characteristics:

CV Cardiovascular is appropriate for use in both cats and dogs during treatment for and/or recovery from serious illness. The higher levels of protein, fat and calories provide the nutritional support necessary for healing and recovery. Its high palatability helps overcome anorexia often associated with illness.
