Airport Veterinary Hospital Staff Profiles
Dr. Steven J. Lindner, D.V.M.Veterinarian / Owner
Dr. Steven J. Lindner graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979 and began working at Airport Veterinary Hospital in June of the same year. A Michigan native, Dr. Lindner grew up in Ypsilanti in a household that was never without a pet cat.
While he was in college, he became acquainted with a veterinarian who worked with horses belonging to one of his friends, and he began to spend a lot of his time “hanging around” a local veterinary hospital. Thus, it was only natural for Dr. Lindner to pursue his interests in veterinary medicine.
Outside of Airport Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Lindner enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also is a proud owner of two Labrador Retrievers (Mandy and Lily).
“I think that the bond between a pet and the family is very important, and providing good healthcare for the pet improves and reinforces that bond.” – Dr. Lindner

Dr. Douglas J. Stacer, D.V.M.Veterinarian / Owner
Dr. Douglas J. Stacer graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 and then worked for one year at North Muskegon Veterinary Hospital before joining the team at Airport Veterinary Hospital in April of 1989.
Dr. Stacer was raised on a farm near Harbor Beach, MI, and found a deep rooted admiration for the large animal veterinarian who cared for the family’s livestock. For ten years following high school, Dr. Stacer worked in a variety of occupations. He credits his wife for providing the motivation and support he needed to pursue his life-long dream of becoming a veterinarian.
Dr. Stacer and his wife share their home with their Golden Retriever, Belle.
“I truly enjoy working with my many long term clients and their animals. A new challenge arises every few minutes and I cannot imagine doing anything other than Veterinary Medicine.” – Dr. Stacer

Andrea NewmanLead Surgery Technician / Staff Supervisor
Andrea joined the team at Airport Veterinary Hospital in July of 1991. She is the proud owner of two dogs, Daisy (Poodle Mix) and Lola (Terrier Mix) along with her feline friends Sophie and Buttons.
“There are many things that I enjoy about my job at Airport Vet. I enjoy that I work with a team that all share a love for animals. I feel that for that reason, we, as a team, truly understand how our clients feel when their pets are here for an illness, for surgery, or for that final good-bye. I also enjoy the technology we incorporate in our surgical procedures. But perhaps my favorite aspect of being a part of Airport Veterinary Hospital is being able to witness the reunion between client and pet when it is time to go home. From the tail-wagging dogs to the deep purring cats, being able to be a part of a happy ending makes each day worthwhile.” – Andrea Show More
