Berwick Animal Clinic Staff Profiles
Dr. Katie Huter
Dr. Huter grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Ohio University in 2002 and taught high school math for 5 years in California. She returned home to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Dr. Huter has a strong interest in dermatology, surgery, and most importantly, building lasting relationships with the clients at Berwick Animal Clinic. She joined Berwick Animal Clinic in May of 2015.
Dr. Huter has 2 dogs (Jake and Chloe), 1 cat (Bob), and a 3-legged guinea pig named Bacon Bit. She enjoys cooking, baking, and road cycling. She has been participating in Pelotonia since 2013 and is a proud member of Team Buckeye. Being a Cleveland native, she is a big fan of the Indians and Browns.

Katie has been shadowing under Dr. Bando since she was in
high school because of her desire to eventually become a Veterinarian. She was
recently hired full time at Berwick as an assistant to be able to help and learn at the
She lives with 2 sibling Labrador Retrievers named Lucy (Yellow), Riley (Black) and 1 Maltese toy poodle mix named Suki.
Michael started his career in the animal field at Pilot Dogs
- where they train guide dogs for the blind. After receiving his degree as a Vet
Tech from the CSCC Veterinarian Technology program he got hired at Berwick in
2002 and eventually became Dr. Kidds right hand man. He is known to
love to talk and will happily discuss in length anything you want to know about
your pets, or his own.
At home, Michael owns one dog, Mini the beagle mix alongside 4 cats affectionately named Kitzi, Boo, Tater and Stinker. When he isn’t tending to his animals or at work he likes to cook and garden and is currently learning the piano!
