Big Cypress Animal Clinic is a member of the Accredited Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and offers a full line of medical and surgical services. The clinic also provides pet daycare and a state-of-the-art boarding facility. The knowledgeable, friendly staff can help with any special dietary needs for all pets and specializes in senior pet care and skin allergies.

Big Cypress Animal Clinic (BCAC) has been a family owned and operated animal hospital since 1977. Dr. Lewis Randall, Sr. and his wife, Myra, established the practice and were well-known for their availability to care for their animal patients in any emergency. In 1985, their son, Dr. David Randall, graduated from the University of Florida and worked alongside his father at Big Cypress Animal Clinic. Two years later, the senior Dr. Randall retired and his son took over the family practice.

Dr. David Randall spent the first 15 years of his career caring for animals of all breeds and sizes, including but not limited to dogs, cats and horses. Then 10 years ago, he dedicated his practice to small animal breeds only.

Big Cypress Animal Clinic extends a warm welcome to all patrons, new and familiar - we care for your best friends as if they were our own!

Big Cypress Animal Clinic Staff Profiles

Dr. David Randall, DVM

Veterinarian, Owner
Dr. David Randall graduated from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985 and began his career alongside his father, Dr. Lewis Randall, at Big Cypress Animal Clinic. The senior Dr. Randall established the clinic in 1977 and the the younger Dr. Randall always knew that he would follow closely in his father’s footsteps.

Having lived in Florida for most of his life, Dr. Randall has raised two beautiful children and has been blessed with four grandchildren. Over the past 25 years, the Big Cypress Animal Clinic has become well-known as one of the most trusted veterinarian facilities in Southwest Florida. Maybe it is because for the past 10 years, Dr. Randall has produced and hosted the ‘Dr. 4 Pets’ television show, which delivers advice and support to animal lovers and pet owners throughout Southwest Florida.

When the doctor is not at the clinic attending patients or at home with his own menagerie of pets, he can be found boating in the Keys or flying overhead since he is also an accomplished, instrument rated pilot!
