Our Mission
It is the mission of the veterinarians and staff of Brandon Animal Hospital to provide quality veterinary services to our patients in a compassionate, competent, practical and caring manner, and to practice veterinary medicine with honesty and integrity while upholding the highest ethical standards.

Brandon Animal Hospital Staff Profiles

Dr. Ann Marie Little-Conner

Dr. Ann Marie Little - Conner grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  She came to Virginia as a freshman at Virgina Tech and never moved from the state since.  She graduated from Virgina Tech with a BS degree in Mathematics and the Medical College of Virginia with a MS degree in Biomedical Engineering.  She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Virgina Tech.

Dr. Conner First came to Brandon Animal Hospital in 1995 and also has worked as a small animal veterinarian in the New River Valley.  Her special interests include endocrinology and preventative medicine.

She lives in Blacksburg with her husband, two young daughters, a pointer hound mix, and two fish.  She is very involved in her church and in musical activities... playing the traditional flute and the Native American flute and is learning the guitar.  She also enjoys hiking and other outdoor activities.

Dr. Lisa Wilson-Farthing

Veterinarian, Owner
Dr. Lisa Wilson-Farthing, as a child, moved 16 times before her family settled in Roanoke, (less than a mile from Brandon Animal Hospital), where she attended Patrick Henry High School. She, subsequently, graduated with honors, earning a BS in Chemistry from Roanoke College and the DVM, again with honors, from the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and Virgina Tech. Dr Wilson has worked as a veterinarian at Brandon Animal Hospital since her graduation from vet school in 1989.

Dr. Wilson has been president of the Virginia Academy of Small Animal Medicine and serves on the Board of Directors of the Emergency Veterinary Services of Roanoke. She attends continuing education seminars, classes, and conferences at every opportunity and, currently, is pursuing certification in small animal physical rehabilitation through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in Wellington, Florida, in conjunction with the University of Colorado School of Veterinary Medicine.

Married to Koy Farthing, Dr. Wilson and her husband have two teenage children, Wilson and Sara.  She enjoys horseback riding and has a prominent history caring for, schooling, and competing dressage horses.  And, she, as a deacon and Sunday school teacher, is an active member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church.
