Dr. Hunter HodgesVeterinarian
Dr. Hodges graduated from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 and shortly afterwards opened Brassfield Animal Hospital with Dr. Ralph Yerex.
He showed horses competitively while growing up in Virginia until moving to North Carolina for college. He has 2 daughters, 2 dogs and several horses. His wife continues to ride and show in the Hunter/Jumper circuit along with one of their daughters.
His interests are Animal Chiropractic and Acupuncture. He received his acupuncture training and certification from IVAS in Calgary, Canada in 2000 and his chiropractic training and certification from Options for Animals in Wellsville, Kansas in 2010.

Dr. Melissa MagnottaDr. Magnotta is originally from Connecticut, but has called North Carolina her home for the past few years. She has always been an animal love; rehabilitating wild life and fostering shelter animals throughout high school and college. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2012 and has been in private practice since. Dr. Magnotta has a special interest in feline medicine, dermatology, and pain management. She volunteers with local animal welfare groups and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Associations. In her free time she enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Magnotta is excited to be a part of the Brassfield Animal Hospital team and looks forward to helping you keep your pet healthy! Show More

Amanda Prejean-Veterinary AssistantAmanda joined the Brassfield team in 2009 when she moved to North Carolina from Maryland. She has been working with animals since 2000 and has loved every moment!
