Kayla Stewart-Kennel Attendant

Kayla has been a part of Brassfield since 2015 and is currently in her 12th year of home-school. She loves helping with all of the animals at the hospital and learning about the veterinarian field. She has 5 dogs, 2 cats and several chickens at home. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dogs and photography. Show More

Michelle Lahn-Receptionist

Michelle is originally from Baltimore, MD, but moved down to Greensboro in 2006 for college and never left. She graduated from Guilford College in 2011 with a degree in Psychology and Art, before realizing her true passion was with animals. She has years of experience caring for a large variety of animals and is currently back in school pursuing her Vet Tech degree. In her free time when she is not working or studying, she enjoys drawing and spending time with her 2 dogs, cat and menagerie of parrots, reptiles and fish. Show More

Dr. Hunter Hodges

Dr. Hodges graduated from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 and shortly afterwards opened Brassfield Animal Hospital.

He showed horses competitively while growing up in Virginia until moving to North Carolina for college.  He has 2 daughters, 2 dogs and several horses.  His wife continues to ride and show in the Hunter/Jumper circuit. 

His interests are Animal Chiropractic and Acupuncture which he practices on dogs, cats and horses.  He received his acupuncture training and certification from IVAS in Calgary, Canada in 2000 and his chiropractic training and certification from Options for Animals in Wellsville, Kansas in 2010.

Outside of Practice he enjoys Camping, Hiking and Dual Sport Motorcycle riding.
