Kristy Righter


Kristy joined the team in the summer of 2014. Based in Berea, Ohio, she attended Baldwin-Wallace College, where she wrote her own major in Entertainment Communication. As if that weren't enough, she also received a minor in Studio Art. After graduating in 2007, Kristy was ready for change. She moved to North Carolina where she met her husband, Jason. They now live in Castle Hayne with their Retriever Mix, Maeby, and Domestic Shorthair, Beazel/"Beazy."

Drake is studying at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is working towards a Bachelor's degree in science with the intention of going for his doctorate in veterinary medicine after completion. He currently lives in the Leland area and graduated from Brunswick County Early College High School in 2015. He has two Chihuahuas, Cookie and Nugget, and a Collie/German Shepherd mix, Sphinx. He enjoys spending one on one time with each of our boarding patients and learning about all of the different animals we see in the hospital.

Jenna Stutsman

Certified Animal Behaviorist & Veterinary Technician

Jenna was born and raised in the Raleigh/Cary area of NC.  She went to college at UNC-Greensboro and started working as a receptionist at a local animal hospital where she met Dr.Terry.  After college, Jenna moved back to Raleigh to be near her family.  She continued work at a veterinary hospital in the area before being hired at BFVH. Since helping the doctors open the practice, Jenna has completed her certification in Animal Behavior & Training. Jenna's biggest passion in life is enhancing behavior in a variety of species. Whether your pet is aggressive, pulls on leash, barks at the doorbell, is timid, etc. she can, and loves, correcting inappropriate behavior. She now owns a home in Leland with her husband, Tyson, their Australian Cattle Dog, Dude, and two fluffy cats, Echo and Toona.
