Caring Hearts Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited veterinary medical facility that treats the needs of canines and felines, located in Matthews, NC. We opened our doors in January 2004, the answer to the dream of Dr. Lorie White. Our modern facility was built with the idea of comprehensive medical and surgical care for animal patients in mind. Our professional and courteous staff strive to provide the best possible medical, surgical and dental care for our highly-valued patients. The hospital contains a full laboratory and pharmacy as well as radiology, surgical, examination, grooming and boarding areas.  We offer the convenience of grooming and boarding for our clients and patients. We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care and health-related educational opportunities for our clients. We have puppy classes and behavioral services to help owners create life long partnerships with their pets. We strive to offer excellence in veterinary care to Matthews, Mint Hill, Stallings, Indian Trail, Hemby Bridge and surrounding areas. Caring Hearts Animal Hospital Staff Profiles

Lorie White, DVM

Dr. Lorie White was born in Columbus, Ohio and spent her childhood there. She moved to rural eastern Kentucky in her teens and lived there through her college years. She attended Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her degree in 1990. She began her Veterinary Career here in Charlotte, NC at Animal Medical Hospital and spent 13 years there. In January 2004, she opened Caring Hearts Animal Hospital in the Matthews area. She is a resident of Union County. Outside of the hospital she enjoys many outdoor activities such as, hiking with her dogs, biking or enjoying the beautiful weather. She also enjoys indoor activities such as cooking or watching movies. Her pet's include Bocci and Oakley Australian Shepherds, Mallie a Ragdoll, and Turner a Domestic Long hair.

Jamie Hardie

Jamie was born in North Carolina but raised in Dayton, Ohio. Her family back to North Carolin in 1998. Ever since she was a little girl she has been very passionate about animals and she is now so happy to say she works with them every day!

Jamie currently shares her home with her six dogs, 2 terriers, 2 beagles, and 2 mini dachshunds. In her spare time Jamie enjoys spending time with her fiance Jimmy and decorating their new home together.

Olivia Knarr

Olivia was born and raised in the Charlotte area. She graduated from Wofford College in 2009 where she studied philosophy. She planned to go on to law school, but found herself drawn to the veterinary environment by her passion for pets.  With a particular interest in all things dog, she found the perfect outlet to share her knowledge and continue learning.  Her pack consists of two boys and two girls, Baxter the Corgi, Pookie the Tibetan Spaniel, Greta the German Wirehair Pointer, and Shelby the Chinese Crested, all came from shelters or rescues.  She looks forward to getting to know all the clients and patients at Caring Hearts Animal Hospital!
