Cary Street Veterinary Hospital is a full-service animal hospital whose mission is to provide the highest standard of quality and compassion in veterinary care for our patients. Cary Street Veterinary Hospital offers the Richmond animal community standard medical, surgical, and dental care, as well as canine rehabilitation.. Our in-house pharmacy, lab, and radiology unit, enable you to make one stop for all your pet's medical needs.
We also offer boarding facilities. One of the biggest advantages of boarding with us is the on-site medical team. We are readily available should your pet ever have an emergency.
We are open for appointments during normal business hours.

Dr. Kimberly KuhnDr. Kimberly Kuhn graduated from the University of Missouri in May of 1989. She has been practicing veterinary medicine in Virginia since graduation.
Dr. Kuhn has found a special interest in older/geriatric dogs and cats. She enjoys helping them grow older gracefully and improving the quality of their lives through their silver and golden years.
Outside the office, Dr. Kuhn's interests include hiking, camping, yoga, and biking...basically anything outdoors.
She currently has 2 canine children, Rufus (terrier mix) and Roscoe (terrier mix), and 1 feline child, Rooster, an orange tabby. Show More

Dr. Edward FaulknerDr. Ed Faulkner was born in Virginia but has spent most of his life in North Carolina. He received his DVM degree from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. His interests include preventive medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and geriatric patient care. He is a member of the Virginia VVMA and AVMA.
Dr. Faulkner has 3 pets: Annabelle, a sweet 9-year-old German Shepard mix; Zeppelin, a crazy 2-year-old Chocolate Labrador Retriever; and Caroline, a rambunctious 2-year-old cat. He is an avid fisherman (both fresh and saltwater) with a particular interest in fly tying and fishing for trout. If he is not on a lake, pond, ocean, bay, or river somewhere, then he can be found having a glass of scotch with his friends and family. Show More

North Carolina State University
Dr. Alex DahlgrenDr. Alex Dahlgren graduated from the University of Georgia in 2006. She practiced emergency veterinary medicine for 2 years before joining Cary Street Veterinary Hospital in June of 2008.
Dr. Dahlgren became ceritified in veterinary acupuncture through Colorado State University's program. She has special interests in older dogs and cats, working dogs and sports medicine, pain control, and rehabilitation medicine. She also enjoys behavior and training and has experience training search and rescue dogs.
In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, running, swimming, and camping, and she can brew a strong Belgian beer.. She has a son, Liam, who also keeps her busy.
She has two active canine kids: Jasper, a blind Border Collie; and Leela, a yellow Lab. They both love to hike, run, swim and camp with her. She also has three feline housemates: Logan, Elias, and Annapurna. Show More
