We have been serving clients from Horseheads, Elmira, Big Flats, Corning and northern Pennsylvania for 18 years. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
We offer wellness care for dogs and cats that includes vaccines such as rabies, lymes, distemper, parvo, canine kennel cough and feline leukemia. We test for diseases such as feline leukemia, lymes, parvo and heartworm. Our services include, but are not limited to: preventative and diagnostic laboratory, dentistry, digital radiology, therapy laser, puppy and kitten care, senior pet care, wellness testing, microchip implanting, nail trims, pain management, canine obedience training, and puppy classes. Most surgeries are done with a surgical laser and include: spaying and neutering, feline declawing, removing canine dew claws, as well as many more.
We also offer a full line of flea, tick, and heartworm prevention products that include: Frontline Plus, NexGard, Scalibor Tick Collars, and Heartgard. Other products are offered in our online pharmacy.

Guy R. Cutler, DVM, Medical DirectorDr. Cutler graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in June of 1992. He worked on farm and companion animals for 3 years in western New York and for 3 years in northeast Ohio prior to moving to Chemung County and opening Chemung Valley Veterinary Clinic and limiting his practice to small companion animals. Dr. Cutler is committed to improving the quality of pet's lives in our community. Dr. Cutler also believes in continually educating himself and his staff in order to "do what is in the pet's best interest".

Ohio State University
Barbara Mix, DVMDr. Mix was born and raised in Horseheads, NY. She received her undergraduate degree from Penn State University and graduated from Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. Dr. Mix completed an externship at Colorado State Veterinary School in bovine embryotransfer and practiced from 1982 until 2001 in large animal practice near Canandaigua, NY. She returned to Horseheads and did only large animal practice until 2004. She joined Chemung Valley Veterinary Clinic to work with companion animals in April 2004 and still does some large animal work.
Hobbies -Riding and showing horses, gardening and hunting. Currently owns a small farm.
Interests -Animal rehabilitation, including laser therapy.

Denise Firlik, DVMDr. Firlik grew up in upstate NY, near the NY/Vermont boarder. She graduated from Cornell University in 1986 with a degree in Animal Science and then again in 1997 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. The years in between were spent earning an engineering degree and playing a bit of Polo. She has been working with us since January 2013.
