Christy came to Colorado from Montana in 1987. She graduated from Bel-Rea Institute in 2014 and joined the Coal Creek family in 2016. Christy has a passion for Surgery and Hematology. In her free time Christy enjoys spending time with her 3 chihuahuas (Oso, Luna Estrella) and 3 rabbits (George, Teddy, Lola), Christy also like hiking, hitting the gym, swimming and watching the Big Bang Theory!

Dr. Melissa Alexander

DVM, Veterinarian
A New England native, Dr. Melissa Alexander earned her Bachelor's degree in Pathobiology from the University of Connecticut and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University. Dr. Alexander has several years experience in general practice as well as emergency medicine. She has a special interest in surgery, particularly fractures and orthopedics. During her time off she enjoys snowboarding, polo, hiking and spending time outdoors with her family and rescue dogs.

Veterinary Assistant
Emalie was born and raised in Castle Rock, CO. She started at Bel-Rea Institute in March of 2016 to further her love and knowledge of animals. She has four dogs and chickens. In her free time she loves spending time with her husband and family, going to dog parks and hiking 14ers with her chiweenie Lady. Emalie is very excited to meet you and your furr-babies!
