Dalton Animal Care has served the North Georgia area for over 40 years. DAC is a multi-doctor practice with a dedicated support staff. We offer routine care as well as orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries, oncology, and pet behavioral counseling. Our practice has extensive in-house laboratory capabilities, often providing on the spot diagnostic results. Not having to wait on test results can be extremely important when a pet has a life threatening illness. Some of our other diagnostic equipment includes ultrasound, fully digital x-ray, EKG and a wide variety of tools available to aid in diagnosing and treating your beloved pet.

Dr. Jules CrawfordVeterinarian - Dalton Animal Care
Dr. Jules Crawford is a 1987 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing in Dalton since that time. His passion for veterinary medicine started at a young age growing up on a working farm in Alabama. Dr. Crawford enjoys the every day practice management. He is married with four grown children and two dogs. He and his wife have a small farm with nigerian dwarf goats, a donkey, a miniature filly, and miniature cows. He is an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church. His outside interests include spending time with his family, attending sporting events, and hunting.

Dr. Chris StearnsVeterinarian - Dalton Animal Care
Dr. Chris Stearns is a 1985 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. He joined DAC in August 2004. He has enjoyed practicing here in Dalton for over 20 years. As a boy, he spent his summers on his grandparents farm in South Georgia and this helped develop his desire to be a veterinarian. He enjoys all aspects of a small animal practice with a special interest in diagnostics and ophthalmology. The Stearns have one dog, Chester the Wonder Dog, and one cat, Lilly. Dr. Stearns is an active member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. He and his wife are active supporters of the Dalton community. His outside activities include traveling and working at his small vineyard in North Georgia.

Dr. Marcus MooreVeterinarian - Dalton Animal Care
Dr. Marcus Moore is a 1988 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinarian Medicine. Before coming to Dalton, he worked as a mixed animal practitioner for seven years. Dr. Moore has an affinity for soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. Dr. Moore has twin sons. His outside interests are woodworking, black smithing and hunting.
