All animals speak, we always listen!
Every patient and client is different and we will strive to treat our last appointment as if its our first; we will strive to accommodate, within reason, each unique circumstance and we will always offer treatment options and solutions.
Gulf Coast Veterinary Center
was born out of a desire to offer top notch services to animals that were “rescued” by various organizations at a reasonable cost. There was no such clinic in existence in the Spring Hill area at the time of our conception. The name “Gulf Coast” was decided on by the staff as we wanted to encompass not only Spring Hill and the surrounding areas, but the entire gulf coast from as far north as Gainesville and as far south as Sarasota. We currently service rescue animals and organizations from Spring Hill, Brooksville, Ocala, Tampa, and St Petersburg. Our staff has been working together for years already and are all very compassionate animal caregivers who have embraced the various changes with enthusiasm and are looking forward to helping you with your pets in the near future.
Advanced planning is critical… Identify a safe place to take your pets in an emergency. After hours emergency in Hernando County should refer to Animal Emergency of Hernando (352) 666-0904.

Gulf Coast Veterinary Center Staff Profiles
Dr. Ron Hamilton, DVM, BSc, ASScDVM
Ronald is a Jamaican native and despite his laid back attitude, his passion has always been medicine. He obtained an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Public Health and Animal Health in Guyana, a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Health in Texas, and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the famous Tuskegee University in Alabama. His passion are internal and rescue medicine. In his spare time, he reads fiction and non-fiction and listens to music (of which his favorite is reggae).
Dr. Soraya Juarbe-DiazDVM
My name is Soraya Juarbe-Diaz, affectionately known as Dr. JD. I am a native of the lovely Puerto-Rico in the sun kissed Caribbean. I am a graduate of Cornell University and have special interest in internal medicine and teaching. For fun I like speed: horses and cars, the faster the better. Being from Puerto Rico as you can imagine I like all things hot and spicy!
Leslie KaczynskiOffice Manager
Hi there! I’m Leslie, the office manager and head veterinary technician in the loving family of Gulf Coast Veterinary Center. My love for animals began at a young age. I moved to Florida from Ohio in 2006 and have been caring for pets every day since. Through the years, I have developed the knowledge to speak for the pets because they cannot speak for themselves. My goal is to see that every pet receives the best care they deserve. I am so fortunate to do what I’ve always wanted to do. Animals are my love and passion. They are our family.
