Dr. Booher graduated from PurdueUniversity School of Veterinary Medicine in 1972 and has practiced at LansingAnimal Hospital for over 30 years. Inaddition to broad experience in general practice, he particularly enjoysinternal medicine. Dr. Booher enjoysgardening, and outdoor activities all kinds, including: bicycling, birdwatching, cross country skiing and relaxing on the beach. Dr. Dale Ritter
Dr. Ritter is a graduate from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he practiced in Iowa for1 ½ years before moving to Illinois. After arriving in Illinois, he practiced small animal medicine as well as on Thoroughbred race horses. Dr. Ritter only practices small animal medicine now. He practiced in Mokena, IL for 15 years and for an additional 10 years in Crestwood, IL before joining us here at Lansing Animal Hospital. Dr. Ritter’s favorite part about being a veterinarian is surgery. He also enjoys meeting all our clients and practicing preventative care and diagnostic medicine. Dr. Ritter is married with two daughters. He also has two little Yorkies named “Scout” and “Driver”. Dr. Ritter enjoys gardening, harness racing, and attending his daughters sports events in his spare time.Show More
Dr. Amy Thatcher
Dr. Amy Thatcher is the newest member of the Lansing Animal Hospital care team, joining the practice in June 2014. She is a graduate of Homewood-Flossmoor High School, and is very excited to return back to the Chicagoland area after receiving her veterinary degree, as well as her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Chemistry, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Thatcher loves all small animal medicine and surgery, but has a special interest in ophthalmology and emergency/critical care. Outside of work, she enjoys scuba diving, cooking, traveling, and running with her boxer, Oscar. She also tries her best to keep her mischievous kitten, Monkey, out of trouble. Show More
Dr. Michele Medhurst
Dr. Medhurst received her degree from College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois in 1985 and hasworked at Lansing Animal Hospital on a part time basis since 2001. Dr. Medhurst is experienced at all aspects ofgeneral and internal medicine, and she also enjoys working with local sheltersto provide care for abandoned animals. In her free time, Dr. Medhurst enjoys spending time with her family,playing soccer, gardening, home repair and reading. Dr. Medhurst also enjoys the company of her three cats and two fish.Show More
