Meadow Brook Animal Clinic Staff Profiles

Billy Cox, DVM

Veterinarian
Since graduation, Dr. Cox  has "doctored" nearly every kind of domestic animal: dogs, cats, ferrets, goats, sheep, birds, snakes, pigs, cattle, horses, and rats. Now, it's just his favorite two: dogs and cats, though he has a fondness for Corvids, too. He has a 23 year old daughter who resides in Colorado so he really enjoys traveling to that area of the country as well as upper New England and the Sierras in California. He has three cats: Gary, Chief and Mantequilla, and the best dog in the world, Bailey.
When asked what historical figures he'd have over for a dinner party, Dr Cox replied, "Aristotle, Euclid, Frederick Douglass, Washington, Einstein, Churchill, Feynman and King, because science, logic and liberty are very important to me."
Professionally speaking, he enjoys challenging medical and surgical cases, geriatrics, ophthalmology and animal behavior. Most of all, he really enjoys the people who own and care for pets. "It confirms my faith in the goodness of people when I observe the care and love that people give to their pets." says Billy. His favorite animal quote is from Gandhi: "The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated."
