North Boros Veterinary Hospital Staff Profiles
Dr. Kenneth L. Bollens Jr.Owner / VMD
Dr. Bollens has owned and practiced at North Boros Veterinary Hospital for over 40 years. His father founded the practice in 1958 and Dr. Bollens returned to his hometown in 1972 for them to work together. His focus is on small animal surgery and management. Dr. Bollens is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a member of the AVMA, PVMA and WPVMA. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, yard work, Pitt Basketball and spending time with his family.
Dr. Kenneth L. Bollens IIIVMD
A native Pittsburgher, Dr. Bollens is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. Following veterinary school, Dr. Bollens practiced in the
Washington D.C. area for 5 years before returning to Pittsburgh to work with his dad. He volunteers his time at Animal Friends performing spays and neuters. He enjoys surgery as well preventative medicine. He is a member of the AVMA, PVMA and WPVMA. Out of the office, he enjoys skiing, golfing, and racing in triathlons as well as spending time with his family and cheering for his hometown sports teams.
Dr. James A. IafeVMD
Originally from New York, Dr. Iafe practiced in New Jersey before moving to the Pittsburgh area. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and received his undergraduate degree from New York University. He was a relief veterinarian for a number of years before he came to practice at North Boros. Dr. Iafe volunteers his time with the Western Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association and is the former chapter President. He is also a member of the AVMA and PVMA. Dr. Iafe enjoys dentistry, dermatology and feline medicine. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, biking, writing and spending time with his two and four legged family members.
