Park Veterinary Clinic Staff Profiles

Dr. Langford

Dr. Langford was born in Nebraska and grew up in several states, as his family moved frequently.  He attended Virginia Tech and was later awarded a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Cum Laude, degree from the University of Georgia. He and his wife have made St. Mary's County their home since 1977.

His personal practice areas of interest include: soft tissue surgery, allergy, and endocrinology. He is a member of several professional and civic organizations and he attends many continuing education seminars each year to continually update his knowledge of new procedures and practices in the field.

Dr. Langford has several hobbies outside of work, including fishing, tennis and antique vehicle restoration. He and his wife Diane enjoy travel and other outdoor activities. Their children are grown, but they have several pets to keep them company.  They are now proud grandparents.

Kathy Bennett

Dr. Bennett received her D.V.M degree from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in June, 1982. She has been practicing veterinary medicine with Three Notch Veterinary Hospital and Park Veterinary Clinic since July of 1982. Dr. Bennett is originally from Fort Washington in Southern Prince George's County, Maryland. In practice, Dr. Bennett holds a keen interest in feline medicine and surgery. She often attends meetings of the D.C. Academy of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Bennett is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Maryland and Ohio Veterinary Medical Associations, and regularly attends both local and national educational courses to update her skills in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Bennett lives on a farm in the Callaway area with her husband, Mike, two children, four cats, and one dog. two horses, numerous chickens (all named Fred and Ethel), and cattle.

Jennifer Matteson

Dr. Matteson was raised in a Navy family and During her childhood lived on the East Coast, in Idaho and, overseas in Italy. She received her bachelor's degree Kenyon College in Ohio and her DVM degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced first in  Toronto, Ontario, Canada, , before moving to Southern Maryland. She practiced in Calvert County, before she joined the Three Notch Veterinary Hospital Staff. February, 1996

Dr. Matteson enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has particular interest in surgery and cardiology. In addition to her many canine and feline patients, she has an interest in and treats ferrets and other small mammal pets. She regularly attends veterinary conferences to study the latest in veterinary medicine and surgery.

Outside of work, Dr. Matteson enjoys motherhood, riding her horse, running and her hobbies. She is active in her church and in boy scouting. Dr. Matteson lives in St. Leonard with her husband, Johnny, and two children Ethan and Siena, and a few "misfit" pets.
