Angie Sliger has been working at PVC for nearly six years. "This has been my one and only job and I have loved every minute of it. This has been the best group of people I have ever known."
Angie has one rotten dog, Coop, who loves to chew and eat anything that he can find. He is her very best friend. In Angie's spare time she enjoys anything outdoors including hiking, camping, fishing, and playing in the mud in her jeep. She also enjoys photography and anything to do with animals. Show More
Tonya R. Hinkle, DVMAssociate Veterinarian, Full-Time
Dr. Tonya Hinkle is a Johnson City native. She received her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree with an Animal Science concentration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2000. She then received her DVM from the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Following her first two years of practice at Cape Fear Animal Hospital in Fayetteville, NC, Tonya returned to Johnson City and joined Pinecrest Veterinary Clinic in September of 2006. Tonya has a special interest in internal medicine, behavior medicine, client education, and soft tissue surgery. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association, and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association.
Tonya is married to Dr. Josh Hinkle and they have one daughter, Olive. The rest of her ‘furry’ family includes two Irish Setters, Dublin and Katie, and three cats, Ms. Titten, PP, and Banana. Outside of work Tonya enjoys traveling, running, kickboxing, and is a food and wine enthusiast.
Jennifer Howell has been working at PVC for two years. She loves all of the dogs and cats that come into the clinic, but huskies and malamutes have a special place in her heart. Jennifer has 'Allie' an Alaskan Malamute, and 'Dude' a rotten kitten.
In her spare time Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, Joe, as well as camping, fishing, snowboarding, running, hiking, traveling, attending church, and spending time with family and friends.
