Richmond Road Veterinary Clinic Staff Profiles
Kevin Smith, DVMOwner / Veterinarian
Dr. Smith is a graduate of Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with special interests in medicine, surgery and dentistry.
Dr. Smith is originally from Louisville, Kentucky but calls Lexington, KY his real home. He and his beautiful wife, Marci, have four dogs. Bailey and Woody, are German Shorthair Pointers and still full of energy at 11 years old. They have been Dr. Smith’s running, biking and hiking partners from the time they were puppies at UK. Dr. Smith’s wife has two 6 year old Goldendoodles named Bo and Luke. They were born in a rescue shelter, bottle fed and adopted at 10 weeks old. While not as active as their “siblings”, they are experts at playing fetch, frisbee and cuddling on the couch. As a blended family, the 6 of them enjoy hiking together in Red River Gorge, as well as heading to any of the local parks in Lexington.
Dr. Smith happily dedicates most of his time to the staff and clients of Richmond Road Veterinary Clinic. However, in his free time, he enjoys running, reading, biking, hiking and traveling with his wife. He is also a huge fan of UK and Auburn athletics. He faithfully attends UK sporting events when his schedule permits and attempts a visit to Auburn at least once a year. Go Cats! War Eagle!
Amanda Hiladay, DVMDr. Holaday is a graduate of Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at Western Kentucky University.
Dr. Holaday is originally from the small rural town of Taylorsville, Kentucky, where she grew up on a medium-sized beef cattle farm. She has two donkeys still at the farm back home named Cocoa and Emmett. Even though she misses her family, Lexington has become her new home. Dr. Holaday has one dog, Maggie, a yorkie/beagle mix that she adopted when Maggie was sick with Parvo. Little did Dr. Holaday know, Maggie would eventually rescue her just as much as she rescued Maggie. She is always the first to greet her at the door after a long day!
Dr. Holaday is a vital part of the Richmond Road Veterinary Clinic family and become an extra support system that both our staff and clients deserve. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, running, the occasional yoga class, traveling with her girlfriends and fishing. She is also a big UK fan — her grandpa, Sam, taught her well! Show More
