Rita Ranch Pet Hospital Staff Profiles

Sarah, CVT

Sarah graduated from the Pima Community College Veterinary Technology Program in 2010, receiving her associate's degree in Veterinary Technology. She passed her board exam to become a Certified Veterinary Technician in May of 2010. She had originally studied broadcast journalism at Arizona State University, but found that her heart was in the veterinary field. She started at Rita Ranch Pet Hospital as an intern in 2009 and became a full-time employee when she graduated with her CVT. In addition, she broadens her technical skills by working part-time at a local veterinary emergency hospital as an emergency technician. Sarah is our resident social media expert and monitors our Vetstreet and Facebook presence. Her long-haired dachshund Sadie, calico kitty Lollipop, and boxer puppy Stella are her pride and joy!  Show More

Tracie was born and raised in Minnesota before transplanting her roots in the warm sand of Phoenix, Arizona. She started her veterinary career as a young teenager working in a pet shop, and was then hired on by the shop's veterinarian. Her love of medicine and science coupled with hard work and determination took her to college, all the time still working in the veterinary field. She has had the opportunity to travel and work with veterinarians around the world, and has a passion for fast paced emergency medicine. She and her husband welcomed their beautiful daughter, Tatum, whilst stationed in England in 2011, and being a military wife and a mother has brought a whole different set of challenges! She has a keen interest in botany, likes gardening, hiking and long distance running, however, her lifelong dedication is her Arabian horses. She presently has 3 horses, Pinter, Halle and Rosie, as well as her 2 dogs Sunny and Sammy.  Show More

Diana, CVT

Diana joined our team at Rita Ranch Pet Hospital in April of 2013. She began her career in veterinary medicine 7 years ago as a kennel assistant in a local small animal hospital, and has worked her way up to CVT. She graduated from Pima Community College in 2010, receiving her associate's degree in Veterinary Technology. She went on to pass the State and National Board Exams to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has previously worked in emergency medicine in a large specialty hospital in another state. Returning to Tucson, she brings to us a load of experience, enthusiasm for medicine, excellent communication skills, and a compassion for all critters. She spends her free time with her family and two Chihuahuas, Coco and Sophie. Show More
