Dr. Nick HollandOwner / Veterinarian
Dr. Nick Holland has been a resident of New Jersey for over 50 years. In 1968, Dr. Holland served his country in the United States Air Force and served for four years during the Vietnam conflict. He became a pilot during his time with the service. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1971 and knew that he wanted to study veterinary medicine. The following year from his discharge, Dr. Holland enrolled in the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1976 with a VMD degree.
Dr. Holland decided to return to his home in Cape May County in 1977 and opened Shore Veterinarians Animal Hospital in Seaville New Jersey. Dr. Holland has dedicated his life to serving the community and their pets. Along with his partner, Dr. Blose, they have opened multiple locations to serve Cape May, Gloucester and Atlantic County Residents.
In his spare time he dedicates himself to his four children and his philanthropic work promoting lost cost spay and neuter. He opened the Cora May Animal Adoption Center in 2009 to help rehome pets. His dedication to helping rehome strays has garnered the attention of many of the local animal welfare organizations.
Dr. Holland volunteers with various charitable organizations. He is currently the president of one of the shore’s most popular orchestras, The Jersey Shore Pops. When not working, Dr. Holland enjoys walking his 3 dogs in the park, traveling, flying his Sirrus airplane and boating with his family.
Dr. Richard BloseOwner / Veterinarian
Richard Blose, DVM is a 1987 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and is one of the partners of Shore Veterinarians. He originally practiced in northern New Jersey before moving to the Cape/Atlantic area, and has had extensive experience in emergency medicine and surgery. While still a general practitioner, Dr. Blose has developed a special interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, with training and experience in a wide variety of procedures. He believes that many clients who cannot afford referral to a specialty surgical center can still get quality surgical care for their pets instead of being left untreated. He has been practicing for 25 years, and has been associated with Shore Veterinarians for 23 years.
