Stewart Animal Clinic is a full-service veterinary medical facility, located in Warrior, AL. The professional and courteous staff at Stewart Animal Clinic seeks to provide the best possible medical care, surgical care and dental care for their highly-valued patients.

Stewart Animal Clinic was founded by Dr. Stephen L. Stewart on September 1, 1979 and began serving the tri-county area of North Jefferson, West Blount and South Cullman.  The clinic cared for large and small animals at that time and the office was located in a mobile home in Warrior, AL on US Highway 31 South.

In the fall of 1983 the clinic moved into a permanent building at the present site, 9630 Highway 31 South in Warrior, AL.  The services continued to include large and small animal care.  As the area grew in population many of the farms became subdivisions and the demand for large animal services declined.  However, because of the many new homes being built in the area, small animal care services increased.  The decision to stop seeing and caring for farm animals, excluding horses was made in 1990.

The practice began a period of rapid growth in small animal and equine medicine and surgery.  This led to a need to expand the hospital, which began in September of 1998 and concluded in July of 1999 with the addition of office space, kennel space and a new equine barn.  With these additions, the practice has continued to grow with an increase in clients and patients.

Also added to the practice were diagnostic aids such as ultrasound, endoscopy, hematology, blood chemistry machines, and a digital x-ray.  These are tools that enable the doctors to better care for our patients.  New technology is vital as the hospital continues to strive to excel in the personal and compassionate care of your pets.
