Stream Valley Veterinary Hospital Staff Profiles
Mary Corey, DVMOwner, Practicing Veterinarian
Dr. Mary Corey is native to northern Virginia. Born Washingtonian, a "Child of the Sixties," Doctor Mary grew up inside the Beltway. She schooled at Whittier Junior High, then attended Falls Church High School, graduating in 1977. Her childhood buddies always included dogs, cats, horses, and a variety of other four-legged critters, large and small, yet some had more legs, and others no legs at all. More than natural curiosity ran through her attractions; she grew in her desire to heal and to help.
Our aspiring doctor went on to Blacksburg where she attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and studied Biochemistry. Upon graduating Cum Laude, she moved next door to attend the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, completing her training in 1988, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
She practiced veterinary medicine on the staff of noteworthy New Jersey veterinary hospitals through mid-1998. When she returned to northern Virginia, Doctor Mary spent the following two and a half years as a clinician in emergency medicine at the Regional Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield, where she discussed her aspiration to open a unique practice. During the end of her tenure as an ER clinician and with the encouragement of the referral center, she constructed her dream. With the close of the millennium year 2000, she opened Stream Valley Veterinary Hospital, her new--and we hope your new--veterinary hospital. Show More
Thirumal Dasari, DVMAssociate Veterinarian
Dr. Thirumal Dasari is native to India, where he grew up on a farm with different kinds of furry and feathered friends, including dogs, cats, sheep, and chickens. He was naturally inspired to become a veterinarian as he grew older, caring for and healing animals on the farm, leading him to complete his veterinary studies in 1998 at the College of Veterinary Science in Hyderabad, India.
Dr. Dasari's work experience has taken him from small private practice to corporate hospitals to government/public health, both abroad and in the U.S. He likes private practice for the many different disciplines it offers, but his particular interests include wellness and preventive care, dermatology, internal medicine/critical care, cardiology, senior chronic disease management, soft tissue surgery, and oncology. He is a proud member of the American, Florida, and Virginia Veterinary Medical Associations, and in 2005 he earned his Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates certification through the American Veterinary Medical Association.
When he is not at work, you will find Dr. Dasari outdoors: fishing, playing tennis, going to the beach, practicing yoga, and spending time with his family. He lives with his wife, his daughter, and their cat Tigger. Show More

She earned a B.S. in Biology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and worked as a veterinary assistant throughout her undergraduate career. Dr. Signorino attended the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, and has come to the Northern Virginia area with her husband Joe, a physical therapist.
Dr. Signorino joins the Stream Valley team with professional interests in neurology, physical therapy, and internal medicine. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, hiking, and cooking. She has a cat named Philly, who easily trains all of the people around her.
