Lauren Porter

Lauren grew up outside of Dayton, OH with a dog and horse that inspired her love for veterinary medicine at a very young age.  After graduating from Miami University in 2014, she moved to Columbus to attend veterinary school at OSU.  In April of 2015, she joined the Suburban Animal Clinic team to gain clinical experiences outside of the classroom. She has greatly enjoyed building relationships with the staff, clients, and patients.

When Lauren is not working or studying for vet school, she enjoys training for marathons, rock climbing, practicing the piano, and training her two cats, Gatsby and Persephone, to do obstacle courses and novel tricks like “high five.”  Although she is not sure which area of veterinary medicine she would like to pursue, Lauren has interests in Neurology, Surgery, Public Health, and Disease Ecology.
