Suburban Animal Clinic Staff Profiles

Lauren Porter

Lauren grew up outside of Dayton, OH with a dog and horse that inspired her love for veterinary medicine at a very young age.  After graduating from Miami University in 2014, she moved to Columbus to attend veterinary school at OSU.  In April of 2015, she joined the Suburban Animal Clinic team to gain clinical experiences outside of the classroom. She has greatly enjoyed building relationships with the staff, clients, and patients.

When Lauren is not working or studying for vet school, she enjoys training for marathons, rock climbing, practicing the piano, and training her two cats, Gatsby and Persephone, to do obstacle courses and novel tricks like “high five.”  Although she is not sure which area of veterinary medicine she would like to pursue, Lauren has interests in Neurology, Surgery, Public Health, and Disease Ecology.

Anne started working at Suburban Animal Clinic in March of 1995.  She is a graduate of the Columbus State Community College Veterinary Technician program.  Anne is an accomplished artist and has had one of her paintings of a red tail hawk used on the cover of The Journal of Veterinary Medicine.  A print of it is displayed in our clinic.

She also enjoys doing pet portraits in color pencil. She has a very patient husband and her pet family includes 2 lovable Great Danes named Fiona and Stella. Anne is also our only tech certified to perform canine massage therapy.

In January 2011, Anne published a book called "Life with Lilly". The book is a tribute to her deceased deaf Great Dane, "Lilly".
