Three Notch Veterinary Hospital Staff Profiles

Dr. Feldhaus

Dr. Feldhaus was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Potomac, Md. She received her Bachelors degree from Loyola College in 1985, and her DVM degree from the Ohio State University in 1989.

She has practiced in Washington, D.C., Toledo Ohio, and Southern Maryland. Dr. Feldhaus enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. She regularly attends educational seminars to keep her skills current.

In 2005, she enrolled in an advanced training program in veterinary acupuncture offered by the International Acupuncture Society in California. She completed her acupuncture certification in the fall of 2006. As a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist she now offers acupuncture treatment for dog and cat patients.

Dr. Feldhaus resides in Leonardtown with her husband, Bob, and their son, Mark, and numerous pets.

Dr. Yasuda

As a part of a military family, Dr. Yasuda grew up in Japan, Illinois, Hawaii, and Anne Arundel County. She received both her bachelor’s and DVM degrees from Cornell University, graduating from veterinary school in 1989. After a stint in Western Maryland caring for farm and pet animals, she moved to Southern Maryland. She worked in Calvert County before coming to Three Notch in 2007.

Dr. Yasuda enjoys the variety of challenges provided by veterinary medicine, particularly internal medicine and exotic pets. Attendance at continuing education meetings as well as participation in a veterinary on-line association help to keep her knowledge up to date.

When time and weather permit, Dr. Yasuda enjoys photography, motorcycling, swimming, and calligraphy. She lives in St. Leonard with her husband, Ken, daughter, dog, and cat.

Dr. Ironmonger

Dr. Ironmonger was raised in Hampton, Virginia. She obtained her bachelor's degree in 1981 from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. She practiced in Virginia Beach her first year out of school, then spent the next six years associated with a small animal hospital in Newport News, Virginia.

She came to St. Mary's County in September, 1992 and joined the staff of Three Notch Veterinary Hospital. She particularly enjoys internal medicine, especially cardiology and dermatology. In addition to taking care of dogs and cat patients, she has additional expertise with rabbits and other small mammal pets.

In 2006, she became Board Certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (canine and feline). She is only the fourth veterinarian in southern Maryland to achieve this distinction.

Dr. Ironmonger resides in Dameron with her husband, Mike and their three children. Outside of veterinary medicine, her favorite activities include sailing, running, and skiing.
