Dr. Brent CoutsVeterinarian / Medical Director
Dr. Brent has a passion for exotic animals, he will be happy to see your reptiles, birds, fish, and even potbellied pigs in addition to your furkids.
Dr. Brent grew up in N.W. Ohio between Cygnet and St. Mary's Ohio. He attended the University of Findlay for his undergraduate degrees. He then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the Caribbean Island of Kitts. He completed his clinical year at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington in 2005. He also took wild life medicine classes in South Africa and did his externships with the Detroit Zoo to gain experience with exotics. His love for exotics has come from his own history with these species as he bred Leopard Geckos and California King Snakes for a number of years.
Dr. Brent is married to Dr. Adrienne Barchard, also a veterinarian, and has 2 children Ian and Joanna. He enjoys gardening, camping, photography, and bow hunting in his free time. He has also done several marathons and triathlons in recent years.
Dr. Amber PisleVeterinarian
Dr. Pisle is a graduate of The Ohio State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She joined the Total Pet Care Family part time in March of 2012 and became a full-time associate in August 2012. She lives in Toledo with her husband, two cats, and dachshund. As of November of 2015 Dr Pisle and her husband welcomed Vivian, their first child. When not at work, Dr. Pisle is normally working in her garden, on a crafting project, or practicing violin or bass clarinet. Prior to vet school Dr. Pisle attended UMBC (University of Maryland Baltimore County) where she recieved her B.S. in Biology and minors in Creative Writing and History. Before joining Total Pet Care, Dr. Pisle worked in small animal emergency medicine. Her veterinary interests include behavior and cytology.
Dr. Michelle BillingsVeterinarian
Dr Billing's began her journey into veterinary medicine in 2005 at The University of Findlay, majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science and Biology. She has also earned her Master of Public Health-Epidemiology from The University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University. After completing her Master degree she then moved to the Caribbean island of St Kitts to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After completing her clinical year at The Ohio State University she joined Total Pet Care in October 2016. Her veterinary interests include preventative medicine and low stress handling/fear free practice. When not at the clinic she enjoys cooking and finding new ways to entertain her Dalmatians.
