Local Medical Issues

Mosquitos, fleas, and ticks are only a few of the parasites we deal with on a yearly basis in our region. Many people do not realize that we do not experience temperatures cold enough to kill off these parasites. Therefore our pets are at risk year-round for heartworm and flea and tick infestation. Our pets are also at risk for intestinal parasites, parasites that can be transferred to their owners. We recommend yearly heartworm, flea, and tick preventative and semi-annual screening of your pet for intestinal parasites.
