VCA Brickell Animal Hospital Staff Profiles

Dr. Nancy R Wilber, DVM

Dr. Wilber recieved her DVM from the Ohio State University in 1993. She studied both accounting and animal sciences during her undergraduate years. Never having been a fan of the cold Ohio winters she moved to Atlanta Georgia upon graduation and practiced there for almost 11 years before moving further south to Miami in May of 2004.

Dr. Wilber joined Brickell Animal Hospital in June of 2009 when the clinic first opened. Prior to becoming Brickell's only local veterinarian she spent 2 years at Aventura Animal Hospital, and 3 years in Fort Lauderdale at Academy Animal Hospital. Training horses was a big part of her childhood but small animal practice is her calling. She equally enjoys soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and preventative care.

Dr. Wilber enjoys spending time with her friends, especially dining out and enjoying the outdoors. The warm florida weather suits her fine and she has an interest in water sports. She currently shares her home with her 3 cats; Brody, Orange, and Musita and 2 dogs; Becca and James. All of her babies were rescued!

Marsha Olson

Practice Manager

Marsha has been an avid animal lover and activist her entire life.  She is originally from Chicago and for several years was the Kennel Supervisor at Save-A-Pet, a no-kill animal shelter.  At the shelter Marsha aided in the recovery of hundreds of abused and neglected dogs and cats.

Marsha was a part of the Brickell Animal Hospital team when we first opened in 2009.  After almost 2 years she took some time off to give birth and raise her two boys, Mauri who is now 4 and Christian, 3.  Although being a Mom is one of the most important jobs Marsha is happy to now be back at the hospital so that she can also devote some of her time to all of the dogs and cats that she has missed so much since she was away.

Besides her two children, Marsha shares her home with her 6 pets.  She has 3 dogs; Whiskey, Venus, and Zena and 3 cats; Charlie, Bandit, and Moo Moo.
