Local Medical Issues

85% of adult pets have periodontal disease. Does your pet have bad breath? That could mean dental plaque has accumulated on his or her teeth. Untreated tooth and gum disease not only can result in tooth loss but allows bacteria to enter the bloodstream and cause damage to valves of the heart. Call today for an appointment for a dental exam for your pet.

Daylene Kenny, DVM

Dr. Daylene Kenny received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.

Throughout her undergraduate and veterinary education, Dr. Day has worked in many different fields from small to exotic animals. She has worked with the wildlife rehabilitation organization, performed education programs with raptors (birds of prey), completed an externship at the San Antonio Zoo, and researched biodiversity in the Amazon jungle.

After she graduated from Washington State University, she completed one year of an avian medicine residency with the University of California Davis and California Animal Health and Food Safety Laboratory to learn more about avian infectious diseases and poultry medicine. Though she likes chickens, turkeys, and waterfowl, she missed working with cats and dogs and their human families and wanted to have a career in companion-exotic animal medicine. When Dr. Kenny is not the clinic, she loves to enjoy the great outdoors, art, and spending time with her husband and their two dogs, cat, chinchilla, and bird.
