Kim Haddad, DVM, Practice OwnerDr. Kim Haddad is the owner of the San Mateo Animal Hospital. She took over ownership of the practice in 2004, and is actively building on the hospital’s legacy of excellence.Dr. Haddad grew up in the Bay Area and received her undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of California, San Diego. After a successful Wall Street career, she decided to pursue her true passion: helping animals. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1997 from theUniversity of Florida. During her veterinary career she has worked with a wide variety of domesticand wild animals in the US and around the world. Dr.Haddad founded the Kimya Institute, to promote proper care, respect, and dignity for all animals, particularly captive wild animals in the United States. She helped form and managed the Captive Wild Animal Protection Coalition, until if became an important program of The Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries of which Dr. Haddad is a Founding Board Member. She also provides veterinary care for more than 400 animals at Coyote Point Museum, has been a Consulting and Relief Veterinarian for the San FranciscZoo, an Advisor to the AZA and AAZV Animal Welfare Committees, the Medical Director for Another Life for Animals, and is a member of several local and national veterinary organizations. Dr. Haddad, a San Francisco native, resides in San Carlos with her two boys and three dogs.

Seth Dasho, DVMDr. Seth Dasho graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in June 2008 with an emphasis in small animal medicine. Born in California, Seth spent his primary school years in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and summers in Berkeley. He moved to California full time in 1991 to attend UC Santa Cruz. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics in 1995.
In lieu of pursuing an advanced degree in Physics, Seth instead worked for a small goat ranch in Santa Cruz, assisting with the care and management of the herd. It was there he discovered an ability to diagnose and treat animals. Soon thereafter, he moved to San Francisco Veterinarian. Specialists, all the while taking courses at San Francisco State University required for veterinary school.
Seth is a member of CVMA and AVMA and has volunteered for Fix our Feals, a program that provides spay/neutering to feral cats. He currently lives in San Mateo with his wife, his young son, Owen, their German Shepherd/Lab mix, Whiskey, and their spunky Orange Tabby named Rupert.
Laura Wagner, DVMDr. Wagner's expert medical care and gentle compassion towards our patients, understanding for all our clients as well as her great sense of humor and dedication make her a valuable asset to our family here at San Mateo Animal Hospital. Dr. Laura Wagner, a native of San Francisco, attended St. Ignatius College Prep in the city, and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. She graduated from the Royal Veterinary College at the University of London and received her degree in veterinary medicine in 2005. In her spare time Dr. Laura likes to root on the San Jose Sharks with her cats, Al, Herc, and Sasha. She is always ready to jump on a plane for an adventure and avidly looks for any excuse to get out in the fresh air: hiking, camping, and tennis are some of her favorites. Most recently she married her longtime sweetheart!
