Rita Medieros, RVT & Lead Nurse

Rita has been at San Mateo Animal Hospital for 10 years now. She started fresh out of high school with a mind like a sponge and a genuine love for animals. Rita was actually a client before she started working with us. She brought her beloved dog CiCi in for an exam, started discussing her love of animals with the owner of the practice at that time and he hired her right on the spot! He took her under his wing and taught her everything she knows and that is a lot! Her technical skills, attention to detail, quick thinking and positive outlook make her a valued member of our team. She has a natural affinity for pets and quit often can calm the most difficult patients with her calm and gentle demeanor. Rita enjoys animal dentistry and we consider her our very own expert on the subject. As an animal nurse she exceeds our expectations daily. When not working at San Mateo Animal Hospital Rita creates the most beautiful, natural bead jewelry, she is learning the fine art of cooking and baking, which we all appreciate, and she just became a California Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT. Congratulations Rita!! San Mateo Animal hospital would not be the same without her expertise and we are honored that she chooses to work with us.
