Amber Ross, RVT

Amber Ross has been a licensed registered veterinary technician since 2001. She has worked at Sunset Animal Medical Center since 2004. She has a dedicated interest in anesthesia and dentistry. Amber continues to attend classes to further her understanding of organ systems, pharmacology, and patient care. Amber loves working with dogs and cats. She has a tender bedside manners, attention to detail, and charismatic attitude with everything she does. Amber is currently the head technician on evenings during the week and works closely with Dr. Arbios.

Dr. Jay Griffiths, D.V.M., Chief of Staff

Dr. Griffiths has been in Veterinary Practice since 1985.  He has developed a significant interest in surgery, as well as advanced laser surgery techniques.  Dr. Griffiths helped develop a unique declaw procedure * Phalangeal Disarticulation*.  This technique, especially when coupled with the Laser, has significantly decreased post operative recovery time as well as complications.

Dr. Griffiths is married to Kathy and they have three children.  Jennifer is 31 and works in Sacramento.  Heather is 30. J.J. is 19 and a Freshman at Grand Canyon University in Arizona. He is studying Pre-Med and is hoping to become a Veterinarian.

He and his family have four dogs:  English Springer Spaniels: Chelsea, 1 year, Wrangler 1 year, and Faith 12 years. English Golden Retriever: Scout 8 weeks.  They also have two cats: Diamond, 18 years, and Dwade 1 year, the cat's all keep all the dogs in line. They currently have 60 +/- NPGA Registered African Pygmy Goats (kinda like potato chip's, you cannot have just 1) and many colors of Flemish Giant Rabbits.
