West Russell Animal Hospital Staff Profiles
Courtney ReuleCustomer Service Representative
Courtney was born outside of Spokane, Washington and moved with her family to San Diego, CA when she was 9 years old. As a child growing up in San Diego, she was not able to have dogs or cats, but was able to have small pets, namely a rabbit named Thumper and a hamster named Dakota. After graduating high school, Courtney started college as a journalism major, however her love of animals soon took over. In 2007 she started school at the PIMA Medical Institute to become a veterinary assistant. After completing the program, she decided to move to Las Vegas to attend PIMA to advance her veterinary education by enrolling in PIMA’s veterinary technician program. Courtney graduated in 2010 with an Associate’s of Applied Science in veterinary technology.
Since graduating from PIMA, Courtney has worked in various animal hospitals from full service facilities to emergency hospitals. Through her career she realized she has a passion for customer service. Working customer service allows Courtney to interact with the clients and patients on a more personal level and helps her to relate to each unique situation. Courtney takes great pride in being the first person that each client will see when they come in and wants each of them to have a memorable experience.
When not at the hospital, Courtney can be found spending time with her husband Jeremy, going to movies, cooking together or just hanging out at home with their two cats Amy Lynn and Tobi. Courtney also enjoys watching football, especially her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, or working out at the gym. Show More

Desire De SouzaCustomer Service Representative
Desire was born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and moved to Las Vegas with her family when she was two years old. Desire grew up in a house filled with animals, having dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, and even rodents. Her mother would take in sick or wounded birds and nurse them back to health. So naturally, as a child she wanted to be a veterinarian. Desire later realized that customer service and business administration interested her more than veterinary medical school. In 2005 she graduated from the College of Southern Nevada with Associate Degrees in Business and General Studies, with emphasis on Small Business Management. In 2008 Desire was able to blend her love for animals and love for customer service when she entered the veterinary field as a Customer Service Representative. With this position, Desire creates a rapport with clients and a bond with their pets.
In her spare time, Desire enjoys traveling and photography and is even pursuing photography professionally. Desire and her son Nathaniel share their lives with several furry friends: Princess Cali, a tortoiseshell cat; Copper and Mandy the Dobermans; Harley a Chihuahua; and Dude, a Chihuahua mix.
